Taylor
Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop sensations, A superstar who was able to completely cross over from into mainstream pop culture, becoming a renowned pop-culture icon and then conquering the world while doing it. Swift removed her roots in the country as though they were part of her skin and revealed that she was possibly the most savvy pop-oriented singer/songwriter of her time, one that could tap into the mood of the moment and personalize it and equally impressively do an opposite. Swift's early hits, especially Her neo payback to Tim McGraw, showed off her skills. The album from 2008 Fearless showed a singer-songwriter who was discovering herself and finding a large audience. Fearless achieved huge popularity not only in the United States, where six of its singles were certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But it also performed well around the globe. Swift's second album Speak Now, released almost two years after her first one, consolidated this success. The album propelled Swift to superstardom. The popularity of Swift only grew during her next three albums -the Red album, released in 1989 and Reputation in 2017 Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) -- which saw her moving confidently to a realm of pop music where she belonged. She remained at the forefront of pop music even though she cut back on her appearance by releasing her folklore album with siblings in 2020 and Evermore.
