Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life by using her creative and imaginative imagination. Songs were written by her before she was able to write and read. Once she had her first guitar at the age of eight, she started to play at radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. Gold Band Records is a small label that is independent. While she was popular in the local scene while she was at high school, her goals were bigger. In 1964, the day after her high school graduation her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host at the time, was in search for a female singer on his show. Parton took the offer in 1967 and signed to RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. The show ended in 1974 as her solo releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. Parton composed "I will Always Be Loving You" for Wagoner soon after their split. The song hit the top spot at No. It was the first time a song hit the top spot.
